The Roncevaux Terra is a Ship-Self belonging to Celestial Mechanics. It is assigned to the director of the faction, Iapetus.
It is only seen during the Endings for Celestial Mechanics and Cradle's Graces.
Description
[edit | edit source]While there is no physical description of the Roncevaux Terra in-game, and its only depiction is pixelated (much like Iapetus himself), there are accounts of the Ship-Self's abilities:
- It is able to divide and catagorize (described in game as "an abstract ability with a lot of applications, sophisticated and sinister")
- It has an albedo separation system
- Albedo refers to "the fraction of sunlight that is diffusely reflected by a body"[1]. Being able to separate albedo may refer to the ability to modulate its appearance, or obscur it entirely (explaining the censored depiction in-game). Saturn also cites this system as being able to evert her String of Pearls' Gravity Reactor.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Despite Saturn's claim that "boys can't pilot" during the mission Saturn Return, Iapteus pilots the Roncevaux Terra.
- Roncevaux Terra is a region of the moon Iapetus[2]. Iapetus has a highly reflective side and a darker side; the northern half of this bright side is the Roncevaux Terra.
